I drank SO MUCH diet soda 25-30 years ago when I was in my 20's. Can that have an impact on my brain health now in my 50's, and beyond?

Thank you for your informative emails. I love how detailed and organized you write. Makes it enjoyable and easy to read and understand!

Hi Anne. No, I do not think you did any harm to your brain. Sometimes heavy use can impact bone density so make sure you are checking a DEXA scan periodically. And thank you for your kind comment! It is my pleasure!!

Thank you. The impact of artificial sweeteners seems so hidden from the general public. I appreciate your sharing of research results.

Annie, I learn so much from you--thank you! I wanted to add that my mom (she's 91 now) doesn't remember who I am anymore, but her eyes light up when I visit and she clearly knows I'm someone important to her. I take some comfort from that.

Hi Joanne, yes I feel the same. I don't mind having to introduce myself to her anymore. She loves it when I visit and so I am holding onto this phase and making the most of it.
