He’s on the Dale Bredesen Recode program which restricts almost all forms of sugar, even fruit with the exception of berries. Can you recommend a substitute for the dates in this recipe? Hi Lisa. Thank you for reading! Dates are certainly energy dense, but also packed with fiber and flavonoids. If that's not an option, you could skip the date and just layer the chocolate, peanut butter and jam, like a chocolate medallion. Be sure to use parchment paper and freeze solid, then peel them off the paper and enjoy, or let them partially defrost before eating.
