Fabulous ideas! Za’atar and Sumac are my new favourite spices - outstanding on DIY pita chips! Worth sharing: Split a pita shell, lightly coat each side with EVOO, sprinkle with kosher or maldon salt and either Sumac or za’atar. Cut into wedges with pizza cutter - bake on sheet pan 10 min at 325f flipping at 5 min. Serve with hummus! So easy and delicious!
Thank you for helping me to rethink charcuterie boards. Since we di t really eat meat and cheeses I am always stymied by how to find a happy middle ground. This is perfect for cocktails in the deck or even while watching football this fall.
Hi Carrie! Yes, people really get stuck on what to serve besides cheese and meat and crackers. Now I am always thinking about my next "tagliata" (as Elizabeth mentioned above) when grocery shopping--it's a fun treasure hunt.
Love this idea! But I'd call it an Antipasto Board. ;) In Italy we use the word Tagliera - basically cutting board - to refer to any mix of before dinner snacks. That way you can choose between Formaggi (cheese); Salumi (charcuterie) or, like your beautiful board, Antipasti.
This is so inspiring. I have been stuck with a charcuterie board of meat and cheese and maybe some nuts or grapes for years. I really love all these ideas and will look forward to building my next one in this style!
This all sounds delicious. Problem is that much of what you’re suggesting such as tinned fish, other canned or pickled food , store-bought hummus, etc. is high in sodium, which is not good for many people.
Hi JP. It's a good point to think about the sodium content of foods. Most meat and cheese charcuterie boards are absolutley loaded with sodium. But you can actually find low sodium versions of all of these things. I would think that someone who really needs to watch their salt intake would pick and choose from a board based on their dietary pattern, too.
Wow I am keen on giving all those great ideas a try!
Let me know how it goes! And remember, you can take just a few ideas and make it super simple.

Love this easy way to make a flatbread. Would be really nice on a charcuterie board!

Hi Elizabeth! I forgot about the word Tagliera. All my best ideas are of course borrowed from the Italians!
wow, this is fabulous and so healthy-looking. I can't wait to try it. Thank you so much!
You're welcome Brenda!
