I saw the comment about adding creatine supplement. I’ve been reading creatine can show higher levels of creatinine in certain individuals. What I have read indicates a relationship between the two but not necessarily cause and effect. Can you tell me a little about this?

Hi Kevin. Yes, taking creatine can lead to a slight elevation in creatinine, but it is not significant. That's one reason it's a good idea to tell you health care provider you are taking creatine so they can account for that if it comes back high. You'll find more detail in this post: https://brainhealthkitchen.substack.com/p/creatine-dos-and-donts

I don't see any men in the photos. Was this intended to be a women's retreat, or do the guys just not care?

Hi M’lou! Take another look. About ⅓ of the guests were guys. They care very much about brain health and they were awesome to have on the trip!

Oh, now I see them, after putting my glasses on! Thank you Annie for researching and sharing so much on brain health. It's had a big impact on my food choices and cooking and my family's overall health.

P.S. Thanks again for all you do for all of us. All the information you pass on to us is helpful and important. Hearing about the retreats and the comments from the participants is cool as well. I enjoy the pictures also.

I don't think I mentioned this yet. I am not sure. I watched Fasting and the Longevity Revolution recently. I thought it was great. It's a new documentary by Valter Longo and Create Cures.

Hi Annie,

I always look forward to reading the BHK emails. This is one of your best ever. Thanks.

My wife and I also hope to go on one of the Italy trips in the future.

My dad liked Affogato's. Take care.
